Episode 27 - All My Heroes Are Dead

Our mantras, manifestations, crystals and brujeria finally paid off this week - we were blessed with the Spiderman No Way Home trailer!!!!!

As if this trailer wasn't enough to add to our alcoholism (of course we celebrated with a white claw when this trailer came out - duh), the Disney Gallery premiered an all inclusive, behind the scenes episode of The Mandalorian season 2 finale! If you put Luke Skywalker in anything, sign us up. We pray to him every night before we go to bed. 
Guess whose going to jail tonight? If you know you know. Mark Hamill is going to post our bail tonight. 

Episode 26 - Return of the Jedi

We've nearly reached the end of the summer, the end of Leo season and .....the end of a 18 day bender of way too much alcohol. Everyone is getting ready to go back to school, be kicked off unemployment and even to start shopping for Halloween candy because Target clearly isn't having another socially distanced covid Halloween this year.
We missed you guys terribly and because of that, this episode is 74 fucking minutes. SEVENTY FOUR. #reasonsitsnotourfault - we chose to take a very long nap during the most intense time of the nerd world ; The Bad Batch season finale and the release of The Suicide Squad!!
Needless to say, many tears were had. RIP to the the original clone base planet of our dreams - Kamino < / 3 I guess we should also say RIP to Pete Davidson too because he didn't make it too far in The Suicide Squad (such waste of talent)

Episode 25 - If You‘re Bill Murray, You Can Do Whatever the Hell You Want *(Mid Season Finale)*

You guys, it's FINALLY here. 
Tomorrow morning, the ReLadies have to get up before the sun even hits the sky and fly into Nashville for Podcast Movement 2021. We can't wait to get the hell out of the Chicago filth and put our boots on! Yee haw. 
This week, we got to see the first set pictures from the highly anticipated MCU show - Hawkeye! What a tease. We are absolutely ready to be obsessed with another Marvel show, but only if Disney stops being sketchy with their movie releases and skimping out on people's paychecks *cough* run Scarlett Johanson her money please and thank you *cough)
Crosshair returned to The Bad Batch this week and we kind of died a little inside. We also are doing full live reviews up on our YouTube of every episode so check them out!
We'll be taking a little break the next couple of weeks because of the convention and most likely the week long hangover we're going to have after! Cheers! See you August 23!

Episode 24 - Let the Spice Flow

Leo season has official begun everyone. Places, places! We'll be at the bar.
This week, Relatable got to see an exclusive sneak peek of the highly anticipated sci-fi movie we've quite literally been dreaming about every night for the past year, DUNE. We were not ready. 
How does one get a script for the spice? Asking for a friend.
Our first week without a Marvel show recap .....but honestly we didn't have time for it this week because Star Wars rumors are taking up ALL of our time. We got some big gossip about new potential castings of our favorite characters. 
 

Episode 23 - Welcome to the Multiverse

Its Emmy season baby and the Reladies are excited to discuss that almost all of our favorite nerd shows have been recognized for their greatness. 
Nerds are taking over...but you already know this if you've been tuning in. 
This week's episode of Loki was probably the most epic content we've seen from the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Endgame, and we are totally living for it. Our Spidey and Deadpool dreams may be coming true after all *fingers crossed*

EPISODE 22 - DA-NA-NA-NA-NA-NA-NA-NA BAT D*CK!

Can you believe there are monsters in this world that don’t want to see what Bruce Wayne himself is packing?! We’re proud to be on the other side of history.
 
Ya know, the one where men can tease the screen every once and awhile, instead of all of the women on the screen doing it instead. Don’t get us wrong, Scarlett Johansson does have a banging bod and we probably couldn’t get those results without some serious plastic surgery, but she is more than just a woman to drool at on the screen!!
 
How fitting this week was the premiere of Black Widow! Drop everything you’re doing and go see it immediately (after you’re done listening to this episode)
 
The Bad Batch swept us off our feet this week bringing back beloved characters from the Rebels tv show. Our hearts can’t keep dealing with emotional trauma like this. AND was probably the most *EPIC* Loki episode ever happened - we can’t wait to break down our favorite parts of this episode! Thanks for tuning in 🖤

Episode 21 - Pizza Rats

This week, the ReLadies let everyone in on the tale of the local Chicago legend - the pizza rat. Rats truly get a bad rap and we just won't stand for it anymore.
Anyways - happy birthday America! We can't imagine another country that gives us PTSD from a presidency, tons of student loan debt and quality reasons to be an alcoholic every single day. Cheers!
This week kind of felt like Christmas for nerds. Loki was absolutely heart wrenching and we cannot stress this enough for new Marvel fans - always watch the post credits. Loki teased a potential new era for the entire MCU and we discuss the insane amount of possibilities that could happen based off of this week's episode!
The Bad Batch continues to be our favorite show and riddled with Easter eggs from all of our favorite Star Wars movies. We got 6 episodes left of this season and there's a lot of rumors of where this show will go....
ALL KILLER, NO FILLER BABY. Nashville is less than a month away for us and we can't wait to bring Relatable to a new city. Thanks for tuning in! 

EPISODE 20 - Party with Mark Cuban

This week on Relatable, Ilsa and Kyra are coming to you *LIVE* from the Chuck Load of Comics Studios and Main Frame Comic Con Headquarters in none other than Chicago, IL (I mean, that part isn't really special - we've been here the entire time) We are so grateful that Chuck let us record in his studio, despite our annoying laughs and drunk rants!
How the hell is it going to be July this week? We can't believe it; Mercury was in retrograde the entire month and we're just glad we stayed alive this long to still watch Tom Hiddleston portray our favorite goth antihero every Wednesday on Loki. 
We wouldn't be proper 90s babies if we didn't honor our queen this week, Britney Spears. Its #freebritney forever and to hear her finally share her story, both inspired us and made us even more upset for what she's had to go through. If she were to start a religion, we'd probably join.
The Bad Batch recap always included in every week's episode and yeah, we got some pretty big spoilers in this episode of where we think the show is headed!

EPISODE 19 - Scoot Over Dolly, There's a New Hoe (s) in Town

It's finally here - our biggest announcement yet! We've been keeping this news to ourselves for weeks and are so excited to finally reveal what it is! 
All we're going to say is, yee f*cking haw baby
It's not easy being in your late 20s and bragging about walking into Build-A-Bear and spending all of your money. Actually all of our friends think we're actually weird now, and not the good kind (when we say "friends" we mean our pets) 
Our favorite princess, Carrie Fisher,  is finally getting a Hollywood Star. We shed many tears when we heard the news and could only think - why the hell doesn't she have one already? Ewan McGregor is also in the star club now. Needless to say, we will probably be at that ceremony in 2020 in full Jedi attire. 
....and would this even be an episode of Relatable if we didn't scream over a Marvel show? Not sorry if your eardrums are a little sore, Tom Hiddleston is worth the noise. 
 

EPISODE 17 - F*ck America, Wakanda Forever

Your Reladies are back with the Season 2 finale episode! Ilsa and Kyra dive into discussions about chaotic celebrity couplings, Loki's new premiere date, Jupiter's Legacy, and a Bad Batch Recap. Is Crosshair really that bad? Ilsa and Kyra still have hope.
